About the SirBot Project
The SirBot Project is a framework on which you can easily build robots. Have a look at the SirBot Labs to see what can be done with it !
Here's the Tamabot DayCare, the bot that takes care of your tamagotchi !!!

And the SirBot Ranger is able to measure distances, and detect obstacles such as fruits...

Sound sensor schematics

by Sébastien Lelong posted at 2007-09-22 09:43 last modified 2007-09-22 09:43
I put on SirBot website some quite detailed instruction to build a sound sensor, the one used to localize sound in space. This sensor uses an electret microphone, amplified by a LM386, a low voltage power amplifier. Using a microcontroller such as 16F88 and connecting this sensor to ADC pins, sounds can be converted, analyzed, even recorded. Finally, I've tried to make this sensor as small as possible.

Here's the link to this SirBot's module page.
